Preliminary Acquaintance with VGA-Cooler MK-26 V2 from Prolimatech

Prolimatech Inc., an established manufacturer of high-end air-cooling systems, is about to release its new VGA-cooler, codenamed MK-26 V2. The upcoming product will be compatible with graphics cards from AMD manufacturer (up to Radeon HD 7000 Series) and Nvidia (up to GeForce GTX 600 Series). According to the preliminary data, the new cooler models will be capable to manage up to 320W of extra heat to provide for the most optimal GPU cooling down.



The major distinction of MK-26 V2 cooler is its impressive dimensions which equal to 230x146x47 mm. Thus, the cooler will take the spacing of five expansion slots, leaving no room for SLI/Crossfire. Palit Announces an Overclocked GTX 760 JetStream Graphics Card

Palit has replenished its line of gaming graphics adapters with a new model, codenamed Palit GeForce GTX 760 JetStream. It is differentiated by an original design of the PCB, a highly-efficient JetStream cooling system, and a factory overclocking. Outstanding overclocking potential is secured by the implementation of high-quality components, such as DrMOS MOSFET transistors.



The new-comer employs PCI Express 3.0 x16 interface and is based on GK104 GPU (28 nm Kepler microarchitecture). The core consists of 1152 stream processors, 32 ROPs and 96 TMUs. It runs at an overclocked frequency of 1072 MHz, but on activating GPU Boost technology, this index rises to 1137 MHz high. Such showings exceed the reference parameters at about 10%.

Intel Thunderbolt Ready Facilitates in Upgrading Your Desktop PC

Last week Intel announced a new instrumentality for upgrading desktop PC, called Thunderbolt Ready. This tool will help in incorporating Thunderbolt interface into the motherboards which initially do not have the support for it. However, only the motherboards with ‘Thunderbolt Ready’ marking and an inbuilt General-purpose I/O (GPIO) socket might fall under the upgrade. In addition to this feature, the user will have to acquire a dedicated card to enable the interface.



This card is installed into an appropriate PCI Express slot and is then connected to GPIO, as well as DisplayPort socket of the integrated/discrete GPU controller, due to the cables that go in batch.
